- EGFR mutation-guided use of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy (afatinib, erlotinib and gefitinib) appears to gain higher quality-adjusted life-years than empirical chemotherapy (without EGFR mutation testing).
- The cost-effectiveness of EGFR mutation-guided TKI is highly subject to the cost of TKI therapy and the willingness-to-pay threshold.
