Key Messages
1. Higher body mass index was not associated with
depressive symptoms in early adolescence.
2. Depressive symptoms were associated with several unhealthy behaviours (ever-smoking, ever-drinking, and unhealthy diet). Higher Rutter score was associated with ever-smoking.
